Ronaldinho. He played football for what it originally was: Talent show. He didn't want to comply with the industrial football mentality which is boring.

Except for Premier League and some other leagues; most football players except a few do not even run, they just walk on the field. There is zero talent, and most of them have just become players because of good connection and opportunities through managers and scouts.

I don't see a single football player today who can do the moves Ronaldinho did.

Nice list, Zidane extremely elegant football player, actually his style is the best for his role, he managed to calm down or make dynamic games based of his gameplay.
I'll never forget this from Arshavin, if this motherfucked actually trained, he could be much better.

He wasn't nicknamed "the maestro" for nothing, his vision for the game was almost unparalleled, it was a joy to watch him play. It's such a shame his career ended the way it did.

This was amazing too, a once in a lifetime performance, like Lewandowski here:

My favourite 5 considering playing style, entertainment capacity, skills, capacity to do the unexpected:
    1. Maradona... technically the most gifted player ever, if not the drugs what could he have achieved...
    2. Ronaldinho...the best entertainer of the game, spectacular at his prime but his peak was too short
    3. Ronaldo Fenômeno...scary before the injury and still the best striker after
    4. Roberto Baggio...most artistic player I've seen, many goals are true masterpieces but also had many injuries
    5. Messi...too bad he shits himself on so many big moments, yet spectacular to watch for more than 10-12 years

My list of the 5 I think are the Best Ever ( considering overall quality, achievements, decisiveness, longevity, stats):

    1. Cristiano Ronaldo...still disputing the number 1 of all the time with Messi, we will see when their careers end, I put him slightly ahead for now because he has achieved more in CL, national team and is already the best goalscorer in history (counting official matches)

    2. Messi...I have no doubt that when they end their careers Messi and CR7 Will be considered the 2 best ever by most people, their consistency, record breaking stats, professionalism and capacity to perform at the highest level for so long is unmatched, no one comes even close in modern football, absolutely dominant players, 2 machines against men

    3. Pelé...the only who comes close to the first 2, I put him behind because he played in a less competitive context, many teams back then were semi amateurs, I consider it's more difficult now. Also played in the by far best national team of his time, in the WC 1962 he didn't even played and Garrincha won the cup for Brasil almost like Maradona in 86

    4. Maradona...at his prime (middle 80's) was probably the only true 10 rating player in history with an unseen capacity of deciding a match on his own, the God of football. Also very charismatic but his peak was too short comparing to the ones above and statistically he is not even close.

    5. Ronaldo the fat... could have been the greatest ever if not for the injuries, who knows? What I know is that before the injury I never saw a player with such explosion and ability combined nor such an intimidating player to play against.

My personal favorite players in recent times were Zidane and Kaká (pre-injuries).

CR7 and Messi are great but they are basically just goal scorers who have been on top for a decade, but i appreciate other things. I think there have been better players than them, more technical and more influential on their teams.

From the footage i've seen, Maradona, Zico, Platini, Cruyff and Van Basten were also special players.

More influential than cr7 and Messi?? you joking??
Cristiano hast 5 Champions, Messi 4 in a club known for being a loser... Cristiano 1 Eurocup... tons of Ballon dOrs...

Boy, I only could think in Di Stéfano, Maradona and Pelé being more or less on pair with them in being influential...
