Default My mtdna in Viking Age samples

There is also a strong Viking component with this haplogroup. The following samples from Scandianavia of the Viking age have all been associated with H10e.
H10e has strong presence in modern Scandinavia as well, particulary in Sweden.

Cool beans. Do you suppose yours has to do with the Viking age?

No, it is German. My direct maternal line was not Croatian.
H10e is generally most widespread in Germanic countries today.

Oh, I was not aware you had confirmed German ancestry. I recall you getting Thuringia selected on your 23andme AC. Know if that’s true? I know the regional stuff is pretty hit or miss...

My grandma was mixed but mostly German (0 Croat). I get very very little NW Euro autosomally, but this haplogroup is clear link to the region.

    Yes, I get Thuringia
