It's fine being a cultural Christian on the proviso you believe in God.

Christianity is a highly intellectual excercise - reading the bible once won't cut it Knowing and understanding the verses in the bible won't cut it either. The spiritual understanding needs to be guided by people that have dedicated their lives in Christian Theology in Doctorate levels.

This is one reason why Greek priests are highly respected as they must have completed the highest level Theological school prior to speaking with the people and with that in mind the people do see them as knowledgeable and at times seek spiritual guidance due to their high level of scholarly discipline. Youtubers stating this or that are full of it, sorry.
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Eph. 6:12

Definition of untrustworthy and loose character are those that don't believe in God.

I'm sorry but I don't agree. No doctorate is going to guarantee you any amount of spirituality... sometimes too much academic study of Christianity is even counterproductive. Because being a true Christian is not about head knowledge... it's about a relationship. And a relationship with God, not with theologians. Many theologians are effectively atheists! No.. God's way on how to grow as a Christian, is receiving guidance from the Holy Spirit. The Spirit of Truth is the only one who can teach you about the things of God. And people should stop thinking that overcomplicating equals better...it does not. God has made it simple for us, so that everyone can understand and accept the Gospel.

1 Corinthians 1:18-31 describes the overall characteristics of Christ's true church: not many wise, not many mighty, not many noble. For God has hidden His truth from the wise and revealed it to babes instead (Matthew 11:25, 13:10-15). Eastern Orthodoxy, just like Roman Catholicism, preaches a corrupted gospel (e.g., baptismal regeneration, salvation that can be lost, tradition over Scripture). Furthermore, there are no more "priests"; Jesus Christ is the High Priest of His church (Hebrews 3:1, 4:14-16), and there is none other. Jesus Christ did away with such weak and beggarly elements (Galatians 4:9), which under the Law only foreshadowed His finished and perfect work (Colossians 2:14-17, Hebrews 10:1). Animal sacrifices offered by priests in the Old Testament never took anyway any sins; instead, they foreshadowed Jesus Christ (Hebrews 10:4-11). Thus, those who call themselves "priests" are impostors; and Jesus's sheep know only His voice, not the voice of strangers (John 10:1-5, 26-27).

I'm thinking converting myself to either the Maronite church or the Greek Orthodox one like all Levantine Christians.
Levant islamization was stronger during ottomans rule
Christianity has always been strong in the Levant to the point that people who converted to islam under pression are more likely culturally muslims
