Default A Protestant Learns About Greek Orthodoxy

Greek Orthodoxy has always been a bit of a mystery to me, and I wanted to get a clearer sense of what it's all about so I drove down to the Assumption Cathedral in Denver, Colorado and spent the morning getting answers straight from the source. Huge thanks to Father Chris Margaritis for taking the time to hang out! This video literally happened because there are people on the Internet who've decided to support this channel. They, no doubt, don't agree with me about every single thing in the Bible and Christianity, but they overlook that and help make this channel happen anyways and that means a ton to me.

Wake up and smell the coffee.

Church's in Greece don't look like that. That's American Orthodox with links to Greek Orthodox .. Greece is very different to this.
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Eph. 6:12

Definition of untrustworthy and loose character are those that don't believe in God.

Yes, chruches in Greece don't look so funky but overall his representation is good. And it's Eastern Orthodoxy, it's just the liturgy in the particular building that it's conducted in Greek but the church is bigger.

Part of adapting to modernity and the protestant norms of the US, chruches in Greece look more "humble/austere" and barely anyone notices the art for more than what it represents.

Please describe your impressions further. Don't just stay at the 1-sentence response you learned from your Türk kittapi.
Being Greek is an experienced grounded into nation, not consumption.

I won't because I am not really interested in churches, I will leave it at my first impression.

If you think all my thoughts and opinions come from some sort of Turkish conditioning you are mistaken. My opinion here comes from my upbringing here in the Netherlands. I don't see a church, I see something that belongs in the Efteling.
