It's fine being a cultural Christian on the proviso you believe in God.
Christianity is a highly intellectual excercise - reading the bible once won't cut it Knowing and understanding the verses in the bible won't cut it either. The spiritual understanding needs to be guided by people that have dedicated their lives in Christian Theology in Doctorate levels.
This is one reason why Greek priests are highly respected as they must have completed the highest level Theological school prior to speaking with the people and with that in mind the people do see them as knowledgeable and at times seek spiritual guidance due to their high level of scholarly discipline. Youtubers stating this or that are full of it, sorry.
