I think you'd find it is almost evenly split between both camps. In any event, if the most extreme scenario came about and White and Black Americans all interbred with each other, then the nation it would come to resemble would probably be... the DR!

Most are though. There's a certain pattern, whites want to stay away from blacks and browns, yet blacks and browns follow them incessantly. Cue white flight and racial displacement, with what remains blending into the shit stew.

I think your analysis is pretty surface level on why people on not having children, I will look up the study but the number of children people want has not decreased (at least in the US) for over 50 years. The issue is that people have low confidence in being able to raise those kids in the current environment, housing prices and living costs are much higher today, making having many children unfavorable- allegedly it takes half a million to raise one kid today. Obviously there are people who have lots of kids today and they make it work, but you're shifting the blame of why white people- particularly young white people- aren't having as many kids to "well they just don't wanna breed like they used to!" and not "Wow, they are making the country inhospitable to having large families."

And the best piece of evidence to suggest your solution would not work is that every race in the US is below replacement level, we only have population growth from immigration. Someone being a different race isn't going to save them from overpricing in the housing market, unaffordable living costs, and the mainstream culture that encourages people to have kids at later ages. If you truly want to solve the problem, fix the markets.
