Or the Saxons, everyone always forgets about them
Interestingly enough, the place that the Salian Franks originated in (Salland) is a traditionally Saxon (Low Saxon/Low German) speaking area: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salland

That's not true. The migrants that went to England were mainly Angles, Saxons, Frisians, Jutes, Batavians, and a few others; but most weren't Frisian. The Frisians that went to England assimilated and lost their identity, while the ones that stayed behind kept their identity (Friesland, Saterland, North Friesland) or got Saxonized linguistically but kept their identity (Groningen, Overijssel, East Frisia). If you go back far enough, Holland was also mainly Frisian.
The ancient Frisii lived in the same region as the modern ones so I don't get why you doubt they're their descendants. They lived in the same region and kept their name. Most of the migrants to England weren't even Firisians. They were mainly Angles and Saxons.
So, its not "those that stayed in Frisia became Frisians". Its "those that stayed in Frisia stayed Frisians". The land never ceased to be Frisii/Frisian.
