Being around people is fucking exhausting. I don't understand people who don't need to recharge after that.

Even though I understand the spectrum of knowledge regarding Schizoid Personality Disorder to be fickle in comparison with the likes of mathematics, and, notwithstanding my disdain for the pathologization underpinning SPD, I relate with the realm of experience regarding transition from Secret to Overt Schizoidism.

True Post (not my usual fancifulness):
There was (still is, I hope) a guy who always wore fantasy t-shirts like lone wolves howling at the moon, and he would either be barefooted or be wearing sandals.
He was slim, pale, had dark brown hair, was a little above average height, a member of the uni swordsmanship club, a table top role player, the set comprising his capacity for facial expressions and eye contact was restricted, I'm assuming NZ (British Isles) European, had a pony tail, spoke rigidly (as I myself sometimes do), also LARPS (live action role playing).
When I read my first David Gemmell novel I thought of the above mentioned feller because one new members night at the uni role playing club I brought up the topic of fantasy fiction and he recommended me Gemmell.
David Gemmell is one of the loves of my reading life.

My perception is that the hero of my cool story above is a covert schizoid, and not at all autistic spectrum.

My first Gemmell, Morningstar:
