Why are Latin American "whites" classist/colorism while American and European whites liberals?

En mi caso me es más fácil ligar panameñas euromestizas de la clase media alta o sudacas que chicas de la clase baja. También me es fácil con las mestizas de la región occidental de mi país que con azuerenses o colonensas más parecidas a mi

Talvez el factor ser exótico me facilita un poco las cosas con yeyesitas, sudacas, chiricanas y veraguensas

They obviously have a white elite, even Bolivia or Philippines have a white elite (on these two countries all whites are elite, but not all elite is white). Cubans even have a white elite in Florida and a white elite in Cuba.


On these two countries the racial difference between middle class and high class is not so obvious like in Mexico, Peru or Chile. But it doesn´t seem that the poorest are the least euro ones (in Costa Rica is obvious that poorest ones are blacks and nicaraguans with scarce euro imput) and that the elite is white.

The concept of “white élite” is not accurate to Argentina and Uruguay, because the élite is not particularly different to the middle and middle-upper class racially talking.
So, it’s just an “élite”… without special differences regarding race.

Exactly, they might wear more expensive clothes, live in mansions but they won't look particularly different than the majority of the population. Being picky I could think they might be of Jew, British or colonial heritage, but again nothing too different than the rest. The "white elite" thing doesn't exist here.

Yes!! In Argentina they are more like of colonial and jew origin mostly... not too much others.
There are many italian surnames too of course, but most of them are mixed families italian+colonial, like Mauricio Macri's, his maternal family (surnames: Blanco Villegas) is here since the colonial times...
And apart of that all you said especially the sumptuous way of life hehe.
But talking about race... as you said... doesn't exist any difference.
