US presence was to kill ISIS, take back their real estate. Seemed the Kurds liked that also. US force now is small and advisory, no more reason to be there.

Kurd militias take advantage of every open-hearted and adventurous dude with some military experience wanting to get some action and fight for a cause, by using them as pawns against Assad and Turkey and for Marxism.
