There is a huge difference between them. The Portuguese is likely of significant SSA origin, just not direct origin (it's been passed down through many generations). I admitted he may be 5 or even 7% SSA, which can influence his phenotype. Secondly, there is only one pic of the Portuguese dude. People can look different depending on the angle of the camera. On the other hand, there are several pictures of this Laval nazi scumbag and he looks Indian in all of them.

On this forum I've seen many people get called gypsy even though they weren't gypsies. I think Zlatan is just an atypical balkan guy, he doesn't look gypsy to me. His parents don't look gypsy either. I just wonder how the nazis didnt notice his exotic appearance, and took a investigation into his origins, even Hitler had to defend his family tree in the early years, and published genealogical trails. Maybe they did and he looks more exotic on the black and white pictures and he was fully french, I have no other explanation how he could have been a "nazi" and "accepted".

He did look exotic in real life too. Milan Stojadinović describes his first meeting with him in his memoirs. He was shocked that the man was so dark and remarked that Laval looked more like a person from a Middle Eastern country rather than the son of a French couple.
