it depends on the region. no one in Bucovina or Maramures considers himself a Balkanite. also Moldova region is quite neutral to it, except for the extreme south of the region people rather see themselves as Eastern Euro. I think only Banat, Transylvania, Wallachia and Dobrudja are truly Balkanite. the fact that Bucharest became the capital city of this young nation made it weigh on the Balkan side, otherwise historically some regions weren't politically or culturally involved with the Balkans until 1918.
plus, there isn't a real Balkan brotherhood. Romanians vs Serbs vs Bulgarians are quite strangers one to another. historically Romanians liked Serbs but I think are closer now to Bulgarians, where so many Romanians go to spend holidays.
I saw a Bulgarian girl today at work and she got some nice big tits of side-leaning pear shape. also cute face. and quite tall. yummy.

Some Romanians get more pissed now that they get called Slavs on Slavic fb pages/groups....which they follow....and participate in. I wonder why those don't follow " Latin memes" instead of grtting trigerred on Slavs in Tracksuits and trying to cope by saying there was barely any Slav influence.
As Balkanites it's an empty word for Romanians. Yes we are, some places not that much, nobody is really concerned about it. We should be interested in having better relations with the V4 countries.

Dobrogea is still true Balkanic at its heart. If you stray away from the main road in the villages of Dobrogea you have a high chance to see some alien worlds and people. Taraclia and Gagauzia in Moldova are inhabited by Balkan people that migrated there in the 1800s meaning Bulgarians and Turkish speaking Bulgarians called Gagauz. Oltenia and Valachia in Romania still have a noticeable Balkanic legacy.
