This guy from Hohenzollern family went to Romania to be king despite his family opposing it (because Germany was against a Romanian state).

It's hard to explain how politically charged this decision was, and it basically made an unified Romanian state a reality, despite massive opposition from abroad.

Romanians always liked Greeks, even when Greeks didn't like us

Half of our ruling class during the middle ages were Greek/Byzantine. The high positions in the Church were filled by Greeks until 19th century.

I think Greeks would see Romania and Romanians in a better light had they visited Romania more often

I don't think most people care. Romanians may not have a strong aversion to the term like some Croats seem to have, but I disagree with Seya with the assertion that most people explicitly consider themselves balkaners.

Croats are Goths, they descend from noble Gothic lines.. they are heavily insulted to be compared with savages like us balkanites.

Recent President of Croatia when asked about Balkan Countries he responded: "I will focus on Central and Western Europe, don't have time for Balkans"

Greeks have a very positive opinion on Romania.I'd have moved there for a while if I could afford it.
