Got a phone call from the hospital today

The time for my heart valve Opp is nearly here

Scheduled for Jan or Feb


Got my pre-opp at the hospital next week...they'll give me my surgery date then
still got no symptoms
did a 7 km run on my treadmill and lifted a few free weights, plus rowing machine this morning....didnt feel tired, out of breath, nothing

Scary times...I'm gonna make up a will in the next few weeks, just in case I dont make it through surgery .. I should be OK, but with open heart surgery there are no guarantees

This. My friend's father had the same operation done (on the NHS) last year and he recovered very quickly. Surgical procedures like this one have come a long way in the last 30-50 years.
