It is not ridiculous, you are just being hard - headed. In my most recent sources for the Spanish population it is slightly higher overall than that of Supercomputer, but not much of a difference. Although, the men were seen to be slightly more blue - eyed than the women as it is in many other European populations. The frequency of blue eyes in your population is similar to that of other Southern European populations, nothing to get frustrated about. The difference varies slightly, Portugal and Greece have even lower frequencies for blue eyes than Spain. It is already an established fact that blue eyes are more common in northern regions of Europe than the South. In Norway and Sweden, it is about 50% for blue eyes only and over 80% for all light eyes. In Spain and Portugal, between 20% - 30% for all light eyes. Nothing to get alarmed about.
You don't need to take the entire population of a country to get an average. I have been to Spain several times, and Spaniards to me are no different from other Southern Europeans.
