Even Angola overtakes Brazil in 2096, incredible. They had like 1/10 of our population few years ago, we had two states more populous than Angola.

1.1 billion (today), 2.1 billion (2050), 3.8 billion (2100)

MENA
500 million, 750 million, 924 million

Central and South Asia
2 billion, 2.5 billion, 2.3 billion

East and Southeast Asia
2.3 billion, 2.4 billion, 2 billion

Latin America and Caribbean
654 million, 762 million, 680 million

Europe
748 million, 710 million, 630 million

Northern America
369 million, 425 million, 491 million

It's not gonna end up well. And it's very unlikely that it will be them, as the very first space colonist are likely to be selected from professionals that Nigeria surely lack.

Exactly the point. It will not be the average nigerian, but the best of nigeria that will be born in 2080. I think in 5 or 8 decades Africa can start to generate some cientists.
