Ancestry's 201 New Nordic Regions

Do you know if it's the correct region for Norway? On my 23andme they really nailed my Swedish regions I think.

I don't trust AncestryDNA they are trying tell me on the latest update that I am 67% Irish and that my only genetic community is in ireland ! However, almost every other source of analysis Eurogenes k15, interpretome, Eurogenes G25, Eurogenes Celtic VS Germanic, Tolan's Eurogenes k36 analysis, Lukasz k36 analysis, intepretome, myancestry geneology report from sequencing.com, and MyTrueHeritage all contradict AncestryDNA.

For instance, I just posted in another thread here that I scored 96.67% North Sea Germanic on Michal's Eurogenes' G25 global 50 custom calculator.

AncestryDNA is run by American morons I think.

Not from family records that I've seen.

Family from Norway is Dokken.. which apparently is associated with the region, and other relatives on 23andme have sent me messages asking if my family is from Flesberg in Buskurud.

Interesting. I have a friend with that surname and he also lives in Buskerud, although in a different village (Sætre). I wonder how common it is outside of that county.

Ancestry took away my Norwegian, 23andMe still shows it, but no regions.

Did you write them down yourself or did you copy the list from AncestryDNA? I'm asking because Uppland is not in Northern Sweden.

You're right. Did not notice that. I copy pasted the entire list from somebody on reddit, who apparently took them from Ancestry's official blog. I noticed something similar where many kommunes in Møre og Romsdal in Norway are counted under "Central, Eastern and North Norway" rather than West Norway.
