I think empathetic people are prone to sociopaths. It’s in an empath’s nature to want to heal someone. Usually bites us in the ass.

It is not rewarded at all in society. In fact, it is punished and abused by those who empathy is shown in to.

Why did empathy evolve in human beings when it is such a low return trait? Also, most human beings are not deserving of empathy in the first place due to being narcissistic self interest driven people. So why do we have it?

I never said I was one I said everyone should be one. Because empathy is not rewarded and it seems evolution is headed that way anyways.

I like to think of myself as balanced I give people back the energy they give me. And I read people very easily and understand their motives so it’s hard to manipulate me.

In some cases no. Why does it seem like selfish people with very little empathy seem to thrive financially and be at the top power positions? That’s not an accident something is going on there.
