Why are blue eyes considered automatically more attractive than brown or hazel eyes?

Instead of comparing the same people with different colored eyes, changing the eye color some people rated as "ugly" to blue to analyze their atractiveness and maybe citing some studies to generate discussion...

This depends on the woman, her overall look, her face, and her personality. Just eye colour doesnt tell me much.

blue eyes are rarer, exotic even, and stand out more, not only that but blue tends to have a calming effect

In scandinavia blue eyes are probably most common, like 90% of people (not counting immigrants). So do scandinavians prefer exotic brown eyes?

Yep, but... Dark brown eyes can be nice only on white people.
On Asians and Blacks they are just some kind of standard serially factory-fitted feature, i.e. uninteresting.

well perhaps not, but just as I said, it does stand out, and having a mellow calming affect that can soothe the soul if the face around the eyes are just as tender

Before my dad died and struggled with cancer. I looked him into the eyes (he had dark brown eyes) and he looked like a reindeer to me, and I loved his eyes and he looked so innocent.
