depends on the uralic language. for example hungarian has a big number of slavic words...but borrowed words prove nothing. each branch is unique.

Yeah. Semitic languages sounds the closest to other Afro-Asiatic languages, especially Berber languages, whereas Uralic does sound more closer to Indo-European languages. Not to mention that Uralic and PIE peoples had interactions thousands of years ago while we Semites were chilling in the sands of the middle east with the Egyptians.

Uralic is highly mixed into Slavic & Celtic whereas Semitic is mixed into some Med populations
