Although Pomaks live in all Balkan countries, there are a number of similarities in traditional customs and holidays in all groups. One of them is about the Pomak wedding, which is very typical and applies only to them. The observance to write, draws the bride is still observed today throughout the Balkan Peninsula, though more and more often weddings are conducted in a modern way.
