Default Who were the Sea People? Bronze Age Collapse

The ancient Sardinians were the original Vikings before the Vikings were a thing, lol

The thing is that these ancient peoples were one of the first peoples to use iron age technology rather than bronze which made them very technologically advanced for their time. Even the Greeks joined the fun back then.

    Seapeople...1300- 1100 B.C.

    Egyptian bas-relief

    Egyptian bas-relief

    Nuragic statues ( Sardinia 1800-1200 B.C.)

Seapeople were ( maybe) Sardinians ( nuragic civilization) + oldest Etruscans ( Italian civilization)

For sure seapeople were neither "greeks" nor any other people from Anatolia or Phoenicians....
In the Mediterranean basin, by exclusion, there were only two other advanced civilization of that era : Nuragic ( Sardinia) and Etruscan ( central Italy )

Well, the Dorian and later Mycenaean Greeks did join them. About the Etruscans, their kingdom started after the so called "dark ages" of the Mediterranean world in the 10th century BCE known as the Villanovan culture:
