They do listen to Reggaeton(can hear it in every restaurant/Colombian bakery sometimes) and true they don’t open Caribbean based restaurants, it hasn’t really impacted they’re cuisine as much when it come to food.

Listening to music is not the same as embracing culture LOL its literally just music

Anyways East Coast Latinos copy Black Americans, Italian Americans, West Indies etc = No culture of their own
West Coast Latinos do not copy anyone but have created their own culture and have embrace it in which others also embrace it = culture of their own

Missouri man flies to California, sets fires


Authorities say a Missouri man is suspected of flying to California and lighting multiple fires by throwing flaming pieces paper from his rental car onto grassy foothills in the San Francisco Bay Area.

The East Bay Times reports Wednesday that Freddie Graham allegedly ignited more than a dozen fires in a 24-hour span last weekend near Milpitas.

Santa Clara County prosecutors say the 68-year-old was arrested while returning the car at San Jose airport thanks to a witness who wrote down the license plate.

It wasn’t immediately known if he has an attorney. Graham, of Lone Jack, Missouri, has been arraigned on 15 arson-related charges. He’s held on $500,000 bail.

Graham has no connection to California and it’s not known why he started the fires or why he targeted the Bay Area.

Mexicans in NYC do not embrace Caribbean Hispanic culture, that they LISTEN to bachata and reggaeton is totally different from them opening Caribbean Hispanic restaurants, using Caribbean Hispanic slang etc
in NYC, it is extremely common to see Latino street vendors selling Mexican snacks, and you can go up to them and ask them where they are from, majority of them are from South America, especially Ecuadoran
you can go to many of their Caribbean/Central/South American restaurants and they will at least have ONE mexican snack or dish

so I dont know what you are even talking about, you clearly havent traveled enough like you make it seem, I doubt you even travel outside your moms basement
not to long ago, there was a "mexican" restaurant that received some backlash because the owner was discriminating black customers, you would think that the owner was a Mexican but nope, the owner was a Colombian immigrant who settled in D.C and opened up a Mexican restaurant, since our culture actually generates MONEY in this nation

and Becky G doesnt speak Caribbean Spanish, she speaks like the typical 2nd+ generation Mexican American who didnt grow up speaking Spanish

Mostly lived in the east coast and actually haven't met many Mexicans. The only Mexicans I met where triracials half Mexican half Dominican and did embrace the Caribbean culture since there were part of it any way.

I think that the west coast Hispanics are mainly Mestizos while the east coast Hispanics while traditionally has always been Caribbean dominated from DR, Cuba and Puerto Rico has had influxes of Central and South Americans such as Colombians, Ecuadorians, Hondurans, Guatemalans and Venezuelans leans more towards a Triracial given the much larger diversity on the east coast. In some ways the West coast of US Latinos live in a mini Mexico while east coast Latinos are in a mini Colombia with mestizos and mulattos living under a very Caribbean influenced Latino community. In the future do you think you’re average US Latino will be a Triracial ?

Its all about Geography. Closer to Mexico, a higher chance to see a Mexican community, same with Venezuelans, Dominicans, Puerto Ricans, Cubans etc

Mexican heritage Americans become Americans a bit faster, although illegals cling to the stupid flag. Cubans Ricans become Americans faster. Caribbean Dominicans Jamaicans created hoods and tend to stay in them.

Apart from Manhattan Heights and some other areas of NYC, Allapatah in Miami , FL (which isnt as hood anymore) , outside of this, over half of the dominican diaspora live in nice middle class, decent lower middle class areas in America, cant mix them up in the same bag with the Jamaican community.
