I made morphs of Finnish hockey players grouped by place of birth (https://sliiga.fi/fi/pelaajat/2019-2020/). I divided the municipalities where the players were said to be born into Western Finnish and Eastern Finnish groups based on dialect areas.
I excluded players who were listed as being born in the heavily mixed cities of Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa, or Tampere.
The differences between the morphs didn't exactly end up being as dramatic as the differences between the Tavastid and Savolaxid morphs at humanphenotypes.net:
I don't know if it's purely coincidental, but in the GIF file above, compared to the Western morph, the Eastern morph seems to have a shorter distance between the eyebrows and the eyes, a smaller visible pretarsal area of the upper eyelids, and higher canthal tilt. It also seems to have a lower bridge of the nose, and its browridge and nasion seem to be positioned further down on the y-axis.
Below are also morphs of the players grouped by region (maakunta). The first 8 morphs are of players from mostly Western Finnish regions, and the last 3 morphs are of players from mostly Eastern Finnish regions.
The morph of the six players who were born in Lapland ended up having fairly chinky eyes, even though it be because of the small sample size. However the Eastern Finnish morphs don't exactly match the Savolaxid stereotype of anthrotards.
