Default Slavic admixture is overrated in Hungarians

It is still single largest component among them, but it isn't nearly as dominant to call them ''Magyarized Slavs''. Many Hungarians are just half or less than half Slavic.
More correct is to call them typical (East)-Central Europeans.

What else they are then? If not Magyarized Slavs?

Much more complex mix than that, mostly of Slavs, Germans and Balkanites. There are many Hungarians who score equal west and east europe, and some of them score more western than eastern Europe.
Slovaks are genetically much more Slavic in comparison.

German admixture in Hungarians is far more exaggerated. It's about 10-15% and quite regional - there are places in Hungary with no German-like face in sight.

Not true. Every single Hungarian I saw is German admixed, from every region. Average is 15-20% and Stears is right in that average.
Also nobody considers Hungarians Magyarized Germans.

When people say they're Magyarized Slavs, they don't mean "Magyarized Proto-Slavs" but "Magyarized Central European Slavs".

Central European Slavs already have Germanic and Balkan admixture embedded in them.

Good point but I don't think so. German and Balkan migrations to Hungary were happening centuries after Hungary became a Kingdom and some of it are quite recent.
When Panonnian population adopted Hungarian language, I doubt they were as mixed as modern Hungarians are.

Avar_Szolad sample was Panonnian Slav for example, and she cluster with Belarusians.

Why do you think Hungarians are genetically so close to Slovenes and Croats? Because both received similar quantities of Germanic and Balkan migration later on?
