Why do Mexicans/central americans have such a different English accent compared to Spaniards?

I love Mexican "language" because its hilarious words (buey, pinche and such) but I admit Colombians also use funny words (chupar gladiolo: when they talk about people that are going to die). Not sure if you understand this because I doubt you know Spanish language.
