Confessions of a Mask

Confessions of a Mask is Japanese author Yukio Mishima's second novel. First published in 1949, it launched him to national fame. Kochan, the main protagonist, is a homosexual and in the context of Imperial Japan he struggles to keep it to himself. Its well writen, Mishima is one of the best writers of the 20th Century in my opinion. I highly reccomend it.
