    Only Syria remains an Arab nationalist country in ideology imo

    I'm not too familiar with Arab ideology but the fact that many nations adopted the language and the identity leads me to believe that Pan-Arabism was a success. Then again that entire region is so volatile to the point that I would not be surprised to see new ethnic identities and ideologies pop up.

    Yep culturally for sure, i was referring to the political movement. People are waking up though, many countries starting to tout their indigenous identities.

    Obviously which is why most if not all Palestinians no longer gives a flying fuck about other Arabs really except for those who like us regardless of their ethnicity like Berbers, Yemeni Arabs, Iraqis, North Africans in general, Pakistanis, Armenians even and so on.

    This is the best fit that I made for Sephardic Jews so far after trial-and-error:

    "sample": "Test1:Sephardic_Jew",
    "fit": 1.9482,
    "GRC_Mycenaean": 34.17,
    "Levant_Canaanite_MBA": 32.5,
    "IRN_Hajji_Firuz_BA": 12.5,
    "Iberia_Southwest_BA": 9.17,
    "Egyptian": 6.67,
    "Yamnaya_RUS_Samara": 2.5,
    "BedouinB": 1.67,
    "MAR_Iberomaurusian": 0.83,

    Palestinian Muslim average:

    "sample": "Test1alestinian",
    "fit": 0.8404,
    "Levant_Canaanite_MBA": 57.5,
    "Egyptian": 21.67,
    "BedouinB": 7.5,
    "Yamnaya_RUS_Samara": 5,
    "IRN_Hajji_Firuz_BA": 4.17,
    "Dinka": 2.5,
    "ARM_MBA": 1.67,

    Greatly suggesting that the Sephardic Jews entered Europe from the Levant via North Africa to Iberia and etc. We Palestinians don't have any genetic ancestry coming from Greece, Maghrebi Berbers and Iberia but rather from mostly Egypt and Arabia to some extent since Egyptian Muslims do have significant Arabian admixture in them and brought them to Palestinian Muslims. Palestinian Christians though are very Levantines genetically.

    You shouldn't mix modern day populations with ancient samples. It simply gets too messy when you have to deal with overlapping components. They start to mask one another and it leads to a blurry image. Also, try to refrain from overfitting and look for a fit distance between 2-3 at least. 1-2 is great also.

    Well, the Palestinian fit is not that overly-fitted which is the closest fit I have ever calculated for my people, lol. Aren told me that 0.8 is almost the perfect number for the whole thing since it's close to 1. Between 1 and 2 is good but anything that is over 2 is really messy.

    Try to use ancient samples where the components overlap very little to one another and you'll get a better picture. Or simply use modern populations to make your runs.

    The thing is that I'm not using Vahaduo but rather nMonte runner instead. Well, I made this run using only ancient samples:

    "sample": "Test1alestinian",
    "fit": 1.2137,
    "Levant_Canaanite_MBA": 45.83,
    "Levant_JOR_EBA": 22.5,
    "IRN_Hajji_Firuz_BA": 10.83,
    "EGY_Hellenistic": 7.5,
    "ARM_LBA": 4.17,
    "Canary_Islands_Guanche": 4.17,
    "TZA_Pemba_600BP": 4.17,
    "RUS_Shamanka_N": 0.83,

    It fits better well with my previous run using modern Egyptians and BedouinB:

    "sample": "Palestinian",
    "fit": 1.1508,
    "Levant_LBN_Roman": 45,
    "Egyptian": 20.83,
    "BedouinB": 17.5,
    "ARM_MBA": 9.17,
    "IRN_Hajji_Firuz_BA": 5,
    "TZA_Pemba_600BP": 2.5,

    happcow's results:

    "EGY_Hellenistic": 0,
    "IRN_Hajji_Firuz_BA": 0,

    Hmm, using only modern of my results:

    "sample": "Test1:Moody_scaled",
    "fit": 2.1413,
    "Druze": 85.83,
    "Egyptian": 10,

    Which is retarded really considering that the Syrian government supported the Christian militias against the Palestinians of Lebanon, and they also fought against Saddam for Iran which is the opposite of what an Arab nationalist should be doing. In other words, they're a far cry of a baathist, and they actively discriminate against the Kurds and Turkmen for shits and giggles which is why they don't discriminate against the Armenians for example. Honestly, the Assad government should abandon the whole baathist ideology and instead embrace a civic nationalist one.
