Because of Jesus, Jewish laws don't apply to Christhians, even the Old Testment is not important anymore. God also sent the Saint Spirit to us.
So, Christianity is Jesus and the Saint Spirit alone.

According to traditional Christian theology, that statement is heresy. If it were accepted by trad Christian theology, I might be more sympathetic to Christianity, but alas, it is not. Gnostic movements held that the god of the Old Testament was a distinct, imperfect, and evil being. They reasoned that the god of the OT, due to his wrathful, jealous, and murderous nature, could not be the highest divinity and so there must be a God higher than him. These movements were all declared heretical and vigorously opposed, often with violence, by the Roman Church. This position would also be denounced by all mainline Christian sects.

All mainstream Christian sects adhere to the Trinity doctrine. God the father is identified with the god of the OT. To say otherwise is heretical.

The Mosaic law was abrogated in favor of the Royal law, which is really just universal Moral laws, like the ten commandments, and the Church laws. So yeah, the law of Moses doesn't really apply anymore, but there is still law.

He paid for the law, but that doesn't mean we can sin all we want. It's repentance and a daily walk .
