Lol Orbán hates Turks as a true Christian Hungarian European. I find that turanism thing silly. Both of these leaders are super corrupt, super pragmatist second world leaders. This is same for nearly all Turkic countries.

My husband hates him as well. Orban is very capable opportunist. He is both Christian Hungarian patriot and a Turanist.
Keep in mind Hungary is very secular and non-Christian today. Churches there are very empty compared to Croatia for example, or Poland.
They are more like Czechs, although not that extremely atheist.
Turanists prefer Tengri to Jesus. Orban menages to combine both his Christian beliefs and steppe brotherhood.

Hmm, well done Hungarians then. Having sympathy for old original religion of themselves is based. Also, Tengri says his rules are rules of nature. It's much better than turn your other cheek mentality. And paganism is xenophobic by nature already. Larping as pagans sounds weird, but having sympathy is good.

In real life, it doesn't really exist. Any pan-ideologies ends up being a failure. Civic nationalism in my mind is the most realistic form of nationalism. I mean, had Saddam not been so obsessed with Baathism(pan-Arabism) to the point that he killed innocent non-Arab peoples like Persians and etc, and instead went to a civic nationalist angle then he would have been alive. The funny thing is that Arab nationalism wasn't even conceived by the Muslim Arabs but rather by Christians of the Levant, and they took most of their nationalist ideologies from the Europeans when nationalism in Europe was at it's peak.

Absolutely. And funny thing is that historically Hungarians have promoted form of civic nationalism like in France, not ethnic-nationalism like their German and Slavic neighbours.
To them any citizen of Hungary was Hungarian, no blood and soil ideology like in Germany.
Lajos Kossuth, of Slovak and German origins, was most famous champion of civic nationalism in Hungarian history. Which made sense given how mixed Kingdom of Hungary was.

On February 19, 2004 Ramil Safarov, a lieutenant of the Azerbaijani army, used an axe to kill Gurgen Margarjan, a lieutenant of the Armenian army. The incident took place in Budapest where both men were participating in a NATO English-language course ...
Safarov’s surprise extradition on August 31, 2012 and his immediate pardoning upon arrival to Baku, which sent a shockwave across the international community and severely affected Azeri-Armenian relations, has raised a few intriguing questions not only outside Hungary but inside the country.

Armenian delegate to PACE urges Hungary to clarify how murderer Safarov was sold for $7.6 million.
