To no one, I’m Albanian. Although Greeks are Orthodox can’t deny a lot of their culture is the closest to us, e.g. their dance style is closest to us, traditional costume is similar to us, and food, but I find it hard to connect with Greeks due to our past.

I feel closer to people who speak my language and that’s only Albanians.

As a German do you feel closer to:

A) English, Norwegians, Swedes, Icelanders (other Germanics but not neighbours)
B) French, Czechs, Poles, and Italians (Germany's non Germanic neighbours)

Yes with english and anglo-american/canadian peoples i like them. Scandinavia is a little bit far away, and they have different mentality than me, but i consider them far relatives.

I feel close to Hungarians, but not to Italians.
And generally I feel close to other Slavs.

Hungary is natural because of my family, being there, speaking the language, but also mostly very positive common past. I feel very at home in HU.
In Italy (especially northern), I always felt very foreign. Don't know why, especially because my hometown has tons of (north) Italian influence. I feel closer to southern Italians, than to northern.

The only things that Romanians get from living in Italy are Gucci clothes and " como se dice *. Sometimes a superiority syndrome by feeling "more civilized" than us plebs. Can't take the Balkans out of us and that's proof enough for me.

Yes. For example, there are still no motorway between Belgrade and Timisoara even though these cities are very close to each other, and there could be more economic benefits for both countries.

There's no highway between any medium-sized city in Romania mate, something connecting us to a different country sounds more like from an utopic dimension.

Some people like me do not have that option. If you are very weird/outcasted then you can only feel closeness to those who are similar to you in personality or ideology, regardless of their race.
