Ukrainians, Bulgarians and Serbs are far closer to me than post-latin peoples. Spaniards/Italians and French are just their own thing, they feel foreign to me.

Russians, Ukrainians and to a some extent North-Eastern Romanians.
In my case I feel closer to people who speak my language regardless of ethnicity

I'm Arabized linguistically (as my town was), but I still feel closer to Assyrian-speaking Assyrians than lets say Yemenis or Saudis. Because they literally look like my family, while other "Arabs" look completely foreign.

I'm too mixed to feel a very strong connection to any one of my ancestral homelands, plus I'm completely assimilated to American culture. I feel a connection to European Americans first, and maybe some other people in the anglosphere.

I feel closer to Cajuns rather than Anglos I suppose.
Which would be considered neighbors to Texans. (Also my relatives)
