I'm guessing the soviet army. WWII was mostly krauts and Russkies slaughtering each other then the Americans came in and cleaned up the mess with a British assist (RAF bombing of Dresden other German cities despite the loss at Dunkirk a prior date) etc...

80% of the battles and the dead were in the eastern front, the main objective of the Nazis was not Western Europe, so they put their best troops on that front, initially France and the United Kingdom lost a lot against the Nazis (United Kingdom retired and France was taken by the Nazis) a different destination would have been if the United States and the United Kingdom had entered the eastern front.
