No. We don't have a good record of integrating South Asian people nor Muslims, and Pakistanis are both.

It's true that Romas have poor work ethic, commit crimes at a higher rate than the majority, and a good percentage of them are still nomadic (probably about 15%), but at least they are accustomed to the country. I don't think we want to start from scratch again. Only well educated South Asians seem to integrate, but this request was for low skilled workers.

Regardless, this initiative didn't go any further.
