Is anyone here a follower ex followerr of the teachings of Herbert W Armstrong? The Worldwide Church of God and it's descendants - the living church of God, United church of God, etc believe in British Israelism, Sabbath Worship and abstaining from pork - among other things.

My mother left Islam to join the Living Church of God since it's not a Trinitarian church. I've personally never heard much about Armstrongism but apparently they were quite big back in the 70s and still are to some extent.

I find the idea of British Israelism fascinating. It's essentially the belief that the people of the British isles, and the surrounding areas (excluding the Germans whom they seem to despise) are the lost tribe of Israel. They also believe this applies to the US, Canada, Australia and former British colonies.
What are your thoughts?
