The Turkic people native to Central Asia were given the choice to become loyal and equal citizens of the empire. Or almost equal. And that was in older and more cruel times than 20-th century. Many Turkic people live as equals in modern RF.
The nazi wanted my people to be uneducated serfs or die. The difference.
"Millions" could be an exageration.
