^ That could mean that the recording is fake. Not impossible. Not everybody believed the recording so I prefer to ask it to people that speak Russian, like yourself.

The soviets were brutal really. I mean, they would go so far to cover up the deaths of human beings as guinea pig for their space programs just to get ahead of the Americans. I guess life was very tough for the ordinary peoples of the soviet union really, though I don't think that the livelihoods of Russians today are that better than back then really. I would urge anyone to watch the movie, Dr. Strangelove, to get the comedic viewpoint of the cold war, lol. The movie was released 2 months in 1964 early before my mother was born in March, lol.

They have been less directly brutal by the 1960s, though. Stalin was already died and the new masters used different tools.

Have nothing to do with brutality. In such new and unexplored area of technology fatalities are unavoidable no matter the system running the show. Every single man participating in tests was very well aware of dangers. Every single assignment was voluntary. In fact competition to get into these programs was quite intense, people were fiercely enthusiastic about space exploration back in these days.
