I don't understand you, why would i ignore my hungarian part? I live in Hungary, so my country is Hungary, i feel close myself to Germany, Austria, etc.

Closer?!

None feel closer than my own country;- either historically, culturally, or personally.

There's other countries that I feel are culturally close to my own culture though, mainly Ireland. It's culturally close to my own country of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, but it's certainly not closer (or even more like my own culture than the culture in my own country.)

I guess immigants would feel closer to other cultures or countries, and would culturally, personally, and historically relate more to the cultures in their native nations, than they feel able to relate to the culture in their adopted country of residence.
