No. I'm closest to turks/turkmens and northern caucasians (kumyk, adyghe, ossetians). I have also some laz ancestry (1/8).
Thats my connection with georgia and pontic greeks (and also hamshenis).

I don't hate the ethnicities you've mentioned tho. I have suryoyo and kurdish friends. I'm fond of iranian literature. I have read saadi shirazi, khayyam, ferdowsi, roumi etc.. Armenian chess players are great.

That’s an interesting question, but a hard one as well.

I’m from the U.S.A., but I’m more passionate about other cultures. I wouldn’t say I’m “closer” to them, but I feel more intrigued about some of the other countries in the world.

I had the pleasure of going to France in 2017, and it felt amazing—not only because I got to travel outside of my country, but because I got to explore one of the countries where some of my ancestors came from. However, I feel like I’m more passionate about my country more than France only because I know more about it.

However, I’ve researched a few other countries, such as Greece and Japan. Although I wouldn’t say that I feel “closer” to those countries, I can tell you that I’m more interested in their culture than I am in the U.S.A’s culture.
