Bogomils were just one Orthodox fraction born in Byzantine, later arrived to Bulgaria, and later to Serbia and Bosnia. Name Bogomils came from Bulgarian priest Bogomil https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bogomil_(priest)

Ancestors of large of Bosnian Muslims not lived in Bosnia in the middle age, but came to Bosnia as refugees (muhajeers) from Hungary, Slavonia, Vojvodina, Lika, Dalmatia and Bay of Kotor in late 17th and early 18th century, and from central/western Serbia and Montenegro during the 19th century.

An examples of famous Bosnian Muslims with origin from Serbia and Montenegro:

    - Family of Alija Izetbegović father of Bosniak nation originated from Belgrade capital of Serbia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alija_..._and_education

    - Family of Bosniak general Atif Dudaković originated from Krupanj in western Serbia, they moved to the Bosnia in 19th century

    - Family of Lepa Brena originated from Golubovci near Podgorica (capital of Montenegro), they moved to Bosnia in 1879

There is no evidence that Bogomils were widespread in Bosnia outside noble circles. It was most likely inhabited by a majority of Catholics at that time. Most Bosniaks today would probably trace their ancestry to a Catholic or Orthodox by just going back a few centuries and many of them even have recent ancestry from Serbia. Bogomilism is the biggest larp in Balkan history, it's a cope since they don't want to be associated with either Croats or Serbs.
