Ciabatta or Baguette for sandwiches, and Bara Brith in general.

I have dear memories of my grandmother baking Broa de Milho in her wood oven. It is a type of corn and rye bread traditionally made in Portugal.

I do not eat it as often though because the ones available at the supermarkets are quite bland.

There's a Brazilian-Portuguese shop/cafe close to where I live, where they make them, they're bloody great.

There's this more crunchy, almost biscuit like bread that they also call Broa de Milho that they make, some people call them Păo de Minuto, is this something that is popular in Portugal?

Yes I think that might be the one, the bakers "class" it as a Broa, but I'm with you on that I think it's more of a biscuit than bread. It's nice and sweet, not overtly so. I remembered they also call it Broa de Fuba in Brazil.
