    There are many types of Broa, including sweet ones that fall rather in the category of a biscuit or a type of sweet bread suitable for the afternoon tea or supper. A pretty famous and traditional one is Broa Castelar, if you have the chance of trying it I would recommend it.

    Fun fact: the Portuguese word "Broa" comes from the Gothic\Suebian word "Brauth" that means bread.

    probably Suebian. Gothic word for bread was hleif/leib
