There was an experiment in the dutch Tv (Expeditie Robinson 2002 was the program) in which they sended a group of men and a group of women to different islands.

While in the island of men these organised themselves: fishing, making a house... in the case of women they were not capable of doing nothing, absolutely nothing, a man had to be sended with them to make everything, he just fished, builded the house... while they took the sun in the beach.
