Anglo cuisine is delicious

It's fundamentally the same traditionally (Roast Dinners, steak/chops/sausages with veg/chips/potatoes, Bacon & Eggs for weekend breakfast, pies, fish & chips etc), but it has diverged a bit, partly because of the different climate and land, partly because of other ethnic influences in recent decades, and partly because separate people just develop different recipes over time. Curry is far more popular in Britain. The average Australian eats and has eaten better, healthier and fresher than the average Brit, but the average Anglo-Aussie plate is less flavoursome and enjoyable IMO. It's fairly basic with less use of nice condiments and sauces. The British diet is too stodgy though, especially in the Australian climate. It's suffered terribly from the Industrial Revolution and hasn't recovered.

It makes sense that Aussies would have a healthier diet. It's a hell of a lot easy to grow good produce in a warm, sunny climate although I have no idea how much you import. We eat a lot of steak and seafood that is grilled rather than fried. The main difference between CA and the rest of the country is the amount of produce we consume, which is probably similar to Australia eating much more fresh produce than the UK. I think you even have a higher life expectancy than the UK.

Also the food situation in Britain and much of Europe during and after the wars was terrible with rationing, leading to a lot of developmentally stunted and malnourished people. By contrast Australians and Americans ate very well.

Yes, you have rationing on top of the fact that places like Ireland are horrible places to grow food. Too little sunlight and the soil is rocky shit. They grow good produce in Ireland but its more of a herculean effort than other parts of Europe.

Not sure, they just sound Southeastern with a hint of Midlands, so maybe Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire or even Cambridgeshire/East Anglia.
