Much of Portugal and Spain does look like Southern California, particularly San Diego, and much of Central Portugal is covered with eucalyptus forests. Below is not far from where my family is from.

Good observation. But eucalyptus is only native to Australia. The eucalyptus in other countries are merely introduced species. Also, most of SoCal is borderline arid with shrublands. Sydney has a lot of trees and many woodlands. I'd say maybe Central California.

    Lmao. Love this thread btw.

I answered this thread few years ago! Outside of Europe, Brisbane and Sydney also pass in Southern Brazil, Meurborne more like Chile and Virgiania. Santa Catarina State, cities like Florianópolis e Balneário Camboriú have an australia climate.
    Balneário Camboriú

    Florianópolis

Classify and pass Sydney's ecology (Mediterranean, temperate, Savannah, rainforest, desert, etc). Does it fit more in West Asia or Southern Europe?
First pic is a typical Mediterranean forest but second and third look foreign, Savannah-like.

It's funny, our forests are easily Mediterranean in appearance and as well as essence (sclerophyll aka hard-leaved, which are common in California, Levant and Iberia). But the thing is, our climate is humid subtropical, much like eastern Asia/southeast US.

Amazing how, just like human phenotypes and ethnicity, even vegetation types betray the climate classification - Sydney's vegetation is atypical for its humid climate, just like Rowan Atkinson is for Britain. Lmao.

P.S. Good call on the savannah label. I actually see it.
