Moldavians from NE Romanian Moldova (Botoșani)

Back at you with a people in a club thread. Some people look straight up Ukrainian but they're mostly the product of being at the border with Ukraine, unlike Suceava where there were more Ukrainian villages and more people with Ukrainian surnames. I didn't pick Suceava because there's a sizable population of Moldovans from Rep. Moldova studying there.

Is that Maramureș? I'd argue there's more Gorids than N. Pontids in Transylvania. More square heads than long ones I mean.

Yeah, not square, but rlly round lol

But these are pretty common too, much more than the southern looks.

I've seen southern looks in every corner of Transylvania, there's a reason why Romanians don't really feel that a person from a diff region looks very strange; there's all types everywhere, just different proportions.

Of course there are southern looks, but I didn't travel to all parts of Transylvania. So I'm just talking about my exact area. As in Arad and it's surroundings. And it's mostly Romanians, Hungarians, Bulgarians or mixed together. And quite a lot of gypsies.

I like to compare these groups to Romanian Americans. This group looks like typical Romanians Americans but perhaps a touch lighter or more "Slavic looking" but more like Romanian Americans than your other post (https://www.theapricity.com/forum/sh...a-(SW-Romania). I believe most Romanians that immigrated to America early on (1880s-1950s) were Transylvanian with an increasing number of Southern Romanians and Moldovans over the last 50 years.
