Default Downgrade from Vista to XP?

Should I do it? Until recently I was running XP SP3 on my HP 6715b laptop, that came with Vista. Now I'm with Vista, but I haven't seen any benefits in having it, to be honest. Should I downgrade again or not? Windows 7 wouldn't run softly on my machine, so it's out of question.

Do it! Vista sucks big time. Downgrade to XP Pro, it was running smoother than Vista.

Ok, I will. However, I have to wait some months, because I'm taking an online course (so I have no time to reinstall). I don't see how Vista is more secure than XP, to be honest.

My laptop supports Windows XP, but I'm still unsure whether it will run better under it.
    Here are the specifications:

    AMD Turion X2 TL-60 2.00GHz
    2Gb DDR2 RAM
    ATI Radeon Xpress 1250
    160Gb Hard Drive

You can run Windows 7 on that. Have you tried it?

Linux and its derivatives are all free and user friendly, support for open source software is always welcome.

I'm with XP now. I really don't want to use Vista or 7. I've tried them, but I don't like them. XP is much simple and easier to use. For my next computer, I'm planning to get a new Mac... or go to a Linux distribution.

XP accepts only a maximum of 3gb of memory RAM, I advice you.

XP is easier to use than 7? Well I was a long XP user, but 7 is much easier in my opinion. However, you need 1GB of RAM for 7, Vista sucks, that's true, but I'm still curious about why some people think XP is "better" in "some" way..

    Regards
