I dont think humans are at the same value as animals when we speak about value, of course humans are the pinnacle of creation, but all of creation including animals is valuable and is a reflection of God imo. Science doesnt have zero clue but it definitely hasnt figured it out.

As an ex-atheist and currently ignostic, my only answer for you is the human brain is limited and not cognitively capable to understand the reason of existence.

Right instinct to live in community (our society is not perfect). We have more memory and processing than animals, but we are still animals.

No lol, you claim to believe in science and don't know the difference between a scientific theory and the colloquial sense of the word theory? The theory of gravity is a fact, the theory of evolution is a fact, the theory of the multiverse is pure scientific philosophy and based on absolutely no evidence, any physicist will acknowledge this.

Really? our best theory of gravity leads to singularities and hence is incomplete to say the least.
