Well, these Serbs who claimed Croats as Catholic Serbs, also claim Bosniaks as Muslim Serbs etc.or claim we are Serbs.
Croats have superiority complex to East generally, and inferiority complex to West (always trying to present self as fully western with zero eastern influence). Your cultural aversion toward Orthodox Europe is very high (imo).Croats always try to distance from Serbs, they are mostly insulted to be associated with them.
Some even call them Gypsies, lol.
Average Serb on other hand doesn't care to be close to Croats or neither to be part of Western culture. Croats are much more xenophobic nation than Serbs (especially before war), you even have regional xenophoby.
