Is Latin America kinda an Alternate Universe of the USA if it were colonized by Iberians ?

I think Peru has more SSA then El Salvador since I can see Afro-Peruvian who look visibly African in Lima more often. With Salvadorans they seem more tri-racial and distant. It’s not exactly perfect since they’re isn’t much data on USA Natives and how they’re gene pool differs but I have seen some of them score Native ancestry as high as Peruvians on 23andme/reddit so I wouldn’t say it’s entirely untrustable just not as through as a official genetic study.

My grandmother sometimes say Brazil is a chaotic pos apocalyptic version of USA.

In my opinion a spanish version of USA would be somewhat between Cuba and Texas. Argentina not really, they seems to be more a version of Latin Europe in South America than a version of USA which is way more diverse than Argentina. But I agree they could represent just the Northeast USA and Quebec in this iberian rule dimension.

The US has immigrant from all over the world and they are often very ambitious people who followed the American Dream. South America was colonized by people who just wanted normal lives. If you look at Argentina and Uruguay, they have very weird unambitious governments bordering on communism. There is no free market there.

I dont think so. These immigrants were just looking for better lifes doesnt matter where they imigrated to.
By the way, americans are capitalists cause US was a global player during Cold War, their population was during all the time influenced by capitalist mindset through their government and media, a lot different from Latin America where USSR spent a lot of money to recruit people here to install their system, it didn't happened in US. We had to install militar dictatorships to fight against communists and it wore out a lot right-wingers, if ur a Pinochet supporter where I live ur basically a criminal.

Depends USA is ginormous compared to even Brazil(it’s even more spread out when it comes to population centers, the Northeast USA always seems more similar to me with Argentina since it was mainly a port for European immigrants to arrive in, The Southeast seemed closer to Brazil since this is the America your Grandmother probably has in mind when it comes to America’s history of slavery and enslaved Africans, domed states in this region are predominantly Black. The West and Alaska is where people from the Eastern USA started spreading out for more territory encountered to larger native tribes within the USA and also where some of the larger USA reservations exist as well as some Native American Ruins like the Pueblo village in New Mexico, this is also where you will find a large Mexican American(or Old Spanish Mestizo Communites) community which have strong ties to the indigenous cultures of the region as well as a Spanish component. This is that Cowboy vs Indians fairytale land.
